Danang City and Hoi An are about 100 kilometers away from Chan May Port, Hue city. This Chan May Port to Hoi An by car offers you a wonderful opportunity to visit famous attractions en route in Danang: The Cham Museum and Marble Mountain. Also, you will then get to spend around 5 hours exploring food and shopping in Hoi An Walking Town before heading back to your ship around 15’30.
However, we recommend a private English speaking guide to make the most of your time in Hoi An. You may avoid getting lost and get back to Chan May in time can be easier.
Since Hoi An is now having a strict rule which does not allow car to park near ancient town anymore. All vehicles have to park about 1 kilometer in the suburb of Hoi An. That’s why having a tour guide from Hoi An will help you to return to your cruise ship in a timely manner.

- Port Entrance pick up: $8 per person. Walk 300 metres away from the ship till you see many tour guide hanging their boards with passengers’ names.
- Inside-the-port pick up: $20 per person. Walk 50metres away from the ship till you see your tour guide with board having your name.
This is a must-do regulation from Chan May port management team and we only help to pay up front for you to save time.
Our driver will pick you up from Chan May port with a sign of your name. Please note there is a pick up fee of $8 per person at port entrance ( walk 300m away from your ship) or $20 per person for shipside pick up ( walk 50m away from ship).
Drive through Tam Giang Lagoon till you reach the Hai Van pass, one of the best viewing point in Central Vietnam. You continue to visit a fishing market in Danang coast where you see round boat basket still in use in our traditional fishing nowadays.
You will be first enjoying the My khe beach and have a look at some fish market before reaching the city.
You will also have a wonderful photo opportunity of the Dragon Bridge, symbol of Danang city and explore the Marble Mountains with its mysterious caves system.
Continue to drive towards Hoi An. Our guide will start a history walking tour for you learning how this trade port became to fame in 16th century. Your history tour in Hoi An starts with the Museum of Hoi An history, Japanese Covered Bridge, Chinese Assembly Halls, Vietnamese Ancient houses and many craft and art houses waiting for you to explore.
You also have chance to enjoy your own shopping before lunch.
Lunch will be at Tam Tam restaurant, a Vietnamese Chinese fusion restaurant overlooking colorful lanterns hanging right by the restaurant window.
At the end of the day, you will meet up with your tour guide again at Tam Tam restaurant before driving back to Chan May.
