Imagine cooking in the fresh and green countryside with the endless paddy field, bamboo forest, and organic garden. You will be amazed by the hospitality of locals here, and you can also learn some of their farming customs and culture while exploring the village’s market. Moreover, you will learn to cook with the friendly chef at a countryside farm house and learn to make Vietnamese coffee with our guide at Bee Bee Travel.
This unique Hue half day tour will fill you with amazing learning about Hue cooking art in the ancient village of Thanh Thuy Chanh. There are three mean of transportation you can choose to do this tours: Hue countryside by bicycle, motorbike and private car. While with motorbike and bicycle, you get to experience fully the fresh air and scent of countryside, the private car is a great choice for family who travel with kids. Both you will accompany with a Hue expert guide who serves as translator for you and Ms. Nua.
You will not go to a random village in Hue, the destination will be the famous Thuy Chanh village, which stands the Thanh Toan Bridge – the oldest bridge in Hue. The local market will be your first stop. There we will buy necessary ingredients for our Hue Countryside cooking tour. Then, we will move to a local farm house of Ms. Nua and explore their organic vegetable garden. While enjoying their Vietnamese tea which you can not find anywhere else, you get to talk to them and learn how they practice farming with traditional method for generations. Later, we will prepare the ingredients and learn to cook.
It is time for you to do hands-on cooking class 3 Hue traditional dishes with the instruction from Ms. Nua.The lesson will finish at lunchtime, as you can enjoy your dishes along with 2 special Hue dishes from the host. However, that is not the end, you still have a Vietnamese coffee making lesson to learn. Now you officially become a real Hue masterchef.
Once finish having lunch, you will be saying goodbye to our wonderful hosts and head back to town. You will be provided list of ingredients and cooking techniques to practice at home.
