Short but sweet discovery of Hué’s highlights
I arrived in Hué around noon and only had the afternoon to explore before heading to my next destination. I found Beebee Travel’s Imperial City Tour the perfect option to discover as much of the city as I possible could within that limited time frame. I turned out to be the only participant, so I was treated to a private tour by Thu and Bem. Interesting insights, a collection of fun pictures and typical food recommendations — that’s what I left with. If you’re only in the area for a short stay, I’d recommend this tour.
We went on both the city walking tour and the tour of the citadel. Being backpackers this was a great option for us in terms of price:) it was also great to have such enthusiastic guides! The city walking tour was great to learn some interesting things about not only Hue but also about Vietnam. The tour through the citadel especially was great and our guides were super friendly and knowledgeable. We had thought about going to the citadel without a tour but were glad we hadn’t as we would have missed quite a lot of interesting info.
The guide who picked us up from the hotel, Sam, also took us to a local place to try the sweet soup they serve in Hue. We thought this was really sweet and shows that the guides really care and love their job
Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hue!
The reason I went to Hue!
So to preface, I sat next to the founder of BeeBee travel on my way to Hanoi, and she (Shu) absolutely sold the city of Hue to me! She told me all about her traveling company and her desire to give travelers a unique experience through the story of the city. After the plane ride, I knew I needed to go!
I did the city walking tour and the Citadel tour, and both were fantastic. Both guides, Tu and Vui, did an incredible job of sharing the story of Hue, and they matched Shu’s strong passion for the city. They’re equally interested in you and your home, so it was a lot of fun getting to be a “guide” for life in my hometown as well! I’m very happy I went to Hue and got to spend the day with BeeBee Travel!
Fantastic way to learn about Hue with fun and knowledgeable tour guides
I did the Hue Walking Tour with Tu Cao, who was an amazing guide. Incorporated lots of stories and general history about Vietnam into his tour of some of the main sights in Hue. Then I did the Citadel tour with Su as the guide. She had so much insight and lots of memorable details about the history and importance of the Citadel. Altogether a fantastic day of exploring Hue and I would recommend this to anyone travelling to Hue for long and short periods of time.
My husband and I went on two tours with Beebee travel, the city walking tour and the foodie tour. We booked the city tour by email two days before our arrival in Hue, after reading reviews in TA. Thu was very responsive to my email request, and Van, a very enthusiastic, young woman who spoke ok English met us promptly at 9 am and we went on our walking tour pretty much all day.
