One of the best days we had during our stay in Vietnam was the bike trip to Thanh Toan Village.
Thanks to Su and her team (Tu, Bau, Hero, Vui and Hang) we enjoyed the picturesque village, farm life museum, the duck farm and had a wonderful lunch. All in a young and cheerful atmosphere.
Excellent tours, the friendly way!
I opted for 2 seperate tours over 2 days, both by scooter..what a great choice that was ! Su collected me at 8am sharp from Villa Louise for a small fuel surcharge, and quite rightly so, it’s 15km outside of Hue.!!
The first day was spent in Hue itself, starting with coffee in a locals coffee shop, none of your Starbucks rubbish here.!! Good strong Vietnamese coffee.!
We then went onto the local market to see what and how the locals bought followed by about an hour and a half in the Ancient Citadel…a fascinating place and an absolute must see..
All this while Su was giving me indepth and informed information in a friendly and casual, non-guide manner, answering any questions I had.
We also had time to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, followed by a light lunch in a typical Vietnamese Noodle place.
The second day was spent touring outside of Hue, in particular, a couple of the Nguyen
Dynasty Tombs..yet another must do.! And then I was taken to the Lagoon, where we parked up the bike, jumped on a longtail boat for 10 minutes and had lunch on a stilted platform ‘restaurant’ where lunch consisted of ridiculously fresh shrimp and a fish pancake, and where I assure that I was the only ‘tourist’ for miles around!! Fabulous.!
Su picked me up and dropped me off to Villa Louise on both days.
Su and her team obviously love their City, and take pride in showing off all that it has to offer, both Tourist ‘hotspots’ AND the smaller out of the way places that larger tour groups never get to see.
I believe it is a relatively new Business, and from the two days that I spent with Su in Hue, deserves to do well…and I’m positive it will.
i wouldn’t hesitate to reccommend a day or two with Beebee. .it’s like seeing a City with friends.
Hue is a city not to be missed in travels throughout Vietnam, and when visiting Hue, there is no better way to experience it than with BeeBee travel. Thu, founder of BeeBee Travel, has clearly found her passion in tourism, and it made all the difference for our tour. She is an amazing person, extremely knowledgeable, kind, and funny, as are her other tour guides. Spending 3 days touring Hue with Thu and her team, we were able to see local markets, and taste some of the delicacies of Hue. We also visited the historic citadel, a mausoleum, and pagoda, where we received a wonderful history lesson. On the last day we took a lovely scenic bike tour through rice patties to a duck farm where we collected some fresh duck eggs to cook up in an omelette with a local family for lunch! Thanks to Thu, the whole experience was full of more laughter and smiles than I have had in the rest of my 2.5 months here. I can’t thank everyone at BeeBee enough for introducing me to their city and giving me the amazing experience of not a tourist, but a friend.
After a lot of research on tour companies in Hue, I stumbled on Beebee when I was looking for a self-guided walking tour of Hue. My only regret is that I didn’t discover them earlier as we likely would have booked multiple outings with them. Thu was incredibly accommodating with my last minute requests for the walking tour and the Hue countryside tour! Myself, my husband and our 13 year old son joined our 3 guides on motorbike to visit farming and fishing villages and see a lesser traveled part of Hue. Everything was perfect about the tour – including the fantastic meal of local cuisine in a restaurant on stilts in the lagoon!! The guides were informative, friendly and answered all of our many questions patiently 🙂. I would highly recommend Beebee Travel!!!
We visited Hue with our two kids (aged 11 and 14). We had a fantastic tour on motorbikes where the guides really interacted with our children to show them this amazing city. We had a fabulous time particularly as the tour was different – more hip – and catered to the needs of the kids (and adults too). Nothing was too much trouble. We were so impressed that we asked them to organize our transfer to Hoi An and we took a guide with us – well recommended as you get a different perspective than just driving there are stopping at the normal tourist sites. Would definitely use them again when we return and would recommend them to any family group without hesitation.
